Sahara Steels?

I am posting this for a band mate who is searching for information about steels his grandfather built.

His name was Bob Stufflebeme and he made the steels in the 60's and 70's. They were called Sahara Steels and he was based out of Shallowwater Texas, which is near Lubbock.

His only Grandson, Micah Vasquez, is the bass player for the Bart Crow Band (Austin Tx.).

Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated. Micah would love to own one, if any one has one for sale.

Please email Micah at micahvasquez@me.com

Thanks- Keith

Those guitars were really good guitars. I knew Bob. He also wound his own pickups and built everything on them. He was also a great player. I was a student in Lubbock and bought my first steel from him. Sho-Bud Maveric. He was also a Bud dealer at the time Unfortunately I couldnt afford one of his. Have seen a few but none for sale. But continue to look. He built steels on side but built irrigation systems. He was a very kind fellow.
