Post by Mike Perlowin »

It's a little early to announce it, but what the hey....

This time I will be running the BIAB tracks.

I would like to thank Jim Eaton for doing this for the past 2 years, along with Frank Carter and Big Jim Baron who did it previously.

I will post more as the dates approach.

Well wouldn't you know it. I've been waiting all year for this and I'm going to be back in Texas during that time. Oh well I didn't get as much playing in this year as I would have liked to prep for it anyway.

The dates are October 5 and 6, (next week) at the Sam Ash store in Cerritos. 12651 Artesia Blvd.

The store opens at 10 AM on Saturday, Noon on Sunday. We usually go till somewhere between 5 and 6 PM.

Everybody is invited to come and watch, please let me know if you want to play. We still have room for more players. Especially on Sunday.

This is not just for pro players. Everybody who wishes to play is welcome, regardless of your level of skill. (Please send me an E-mail so I can put you on the players list.) This is not a show, and it's not a competition. It's all about picking and grinning and having some fun.

Guys, (and any ladies who might be lurking,) there are still a couple of open spots for Saturday, and half a dozen for Sunday.

Come on down even if you don't want to play. You'll all get to meet each other, and hear some great playing.

Hi Jim. Most of the usual suspects will be there. Jay Dee, Skip Edwards, Keven Ryan, Peter Freiberger, etc. Also a couple of new guys, one of whom is a relative beginner who was hesitant about coming. I told him it doesn't matter.

Unfortunately, Dean Parks, Chas Smith, and Rick Schmidt all have out of town gigs and can't make it this year.

In past years 1 or 2 people contacted me at the last minute and asked to play, and of course I said yes. I expect the same thing will happen this yer.

BTW I added the song you wrote to the BIAB files.

This is going to be a fun weekend.

Yeah, it was a fun couple days. Muchas gracias to Los Dos Mikes...Perlowin & Maddux, and a tip of the hat to Sam Ash Cerritos.
Right back at ya, Kevin. You sounded great, and I had a bad case of gear lust for your new Infinity.
