Does anyone know what happened to the Peterson, StroboFlip Tuner?

I am looking for another one, but it seems to have been Discontinued. I don't get it, they are excellent tuners. The best, IMO.

David it has been discontinued. Replaced by the StroboplusHD tuner - which is a big improvement. It has more presets, including separate ones for your pedals and knees .... lithium batteries which you recharge like a cellphone, and a USB connection so you can download any future software updates ....and it is quite a bit cheaper than the Stroboflip was new.

Thanks Paddy!

Very nice. Is the sweetened tuning for E9, the same as the StroboFlip ?
Ie - Jeff Newman tempered/sweetened tuning ?

D.

The Stroboflip is a very good tuner... Some even say the best.

Thanks everyone.

I agree. I think it is the best tuner, for steel...etc.

Dave.

On the flipside (pun intended) I've had two and both had the power supply fail to the point where they would work on batteries only (inserting a power supply plug would shut them off.). I keep one around in my shop for setups, but they seem very flimsy.

David, you can program the full Newman temperament on the Stroboflip (it has different values for some notes); the instruction manual shows how. The full Newman tuning is on their website: jeffran.com . IMO the F pedal is much sweeter using those values.

I've been lucky with my Stroboflip, it's many years old. I bought the StroboHD as a backup.
