OK, so I'm reassembling the MSA Classic S-12, and I remembered I accidentally bent some steel fingers, so I took all the fingers off the axle to get to string 6, without taking pics. Now I can't recall which strings the supports go between. I expect 4/5 and 8/9, am I right?

I think I may have used too many washers, or too many thick ones. Now it won't fit. AAARRRGGGHHH.
Do the washers go between each half of a finger, or just from one string's set to the next?

| The washers separate each finger set~ not between the finger and the scissors and you are correct on the placement of the supports. |
