I was lucky enough to catch them in '76 with James and in '78 with Albert and Ricky Skaggs.

Arch.

Steel player is Hank DeVito.

This clip is insanely good. Everybody at the top of their game.

I saw this band in 1978 at Tanglewood in Lenox Mass. A great show. Hank DeVito on steel, Ricky Skaggs was in the band. Albert Lee's "delay" solo on Luxury Liner blew my mind. I went home thinking... I've got some work to do!

Man, this is the best concert video of the Hot Band that I know. Listen to Hank's solo at 23:29 ... definitively insane!

Arguably the best "self contained"country music band ever assembled. Looks like a very youthful Rodney Crowell on acoustic guitar and harmony vocals..

Emmy was a stunning beauty in those days, and is every bit as drop dead gorgeous today.. she is most certainly a national treasure... bob

Totally blown away !! Boulder to B just made me cry!
I saw E-L with A Hot Band in OZ but this group are amazing. Plenty of hair there too

Anyone know what year this was? have to be 70's.
Great to see Hank DeVito get some space - it's a bit scarce on the recordings.
