This is my first attempt at reassembly (it came apart fine!) and I want to make sure I'm in good shape before I proceed. I've got my MSA single 12 strung and upside down ready to begin rodding. I noticed that the changer fingers, rather than hanging straight down (or up)are now in a shallow V with the raises angled toward the end of the guitar and the lowers angled the other way. I assume this is a result of string tension. I have just enough tension on the strings to keep them on. The stop bar and return springs are in place (no tension on the springs yet). Can I assume this is normal and I'm good to go or have I made a mistake already? Thank you for any assistance and advice.

Try running the strings up to pitch. Low string tension will change the geometry.

Allan, That will straighten itself out once you get the lower return springs on. Don't try to bring the stings up to pitch. Just have a bit of tension on them

What Bent said. I misread it. strings and springs balance each other.
