On the 5th pedal of my steel, my pedal sticks in the pedal down position. This is weird because I took all the pulls off of the belcranks on that pedal to see if it cleared it up so that I could pinpoint the changer. But it still sticks. Could it be a spring? I need someone that has had this happen before or heard of this happening to post on this thread.

Most makers quit putting a pedal return spring on the shaft, if you have no string hooked up, I'd expect the pedal to stay on the ground.

Where the pedal rod meets a part connected to the cabinet. I loosened the screw a bit on that part and it freed the pedal up. No problems now. The screw was just too tight. know what to do next time that happens.

Please, make a picture of what part.... It can be important to keep that screw tight....
