I have always been intrigued by the dobro, so looking to get started. I've got my lesson sources so what I'm asking guidance/opinions on is what would be a good medium priced dobro to get?

I know these things can get pricey, but are there any good solid instruments in the $500 - $1000 range?

Open to suggestions, Thank you in advance for your time and effort in replying.

You may be able to get a Redline or Appalachian resonator guitar (made in the US) for around the top end of your budget. For less money, the Gold Tone Beard guitars are hard to beat.
