Well, here we go! Brett, so glad that you can make it, it wouldn't be the same without you. Chuck is a great player and teacher, and now that he's retired, maybe he can stay up longer and jam. Ron Eliot, in addition to being a great player, is one of the funnies guys you'll ever meet. This is gonna be a good 'un, I can feel it!
By the way, Charles is having some health problems right now, keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Stephen Ken called me this afternoon on his way back to Alabama, I spoke to him about us comming back to saluda together. We are planning on the trip.
Ken is a great lead player, and could help[ out on the backup band.
Will let you know later when plans mature.
We love comming to saluda but it sure is a long way, 12 hours to get home, by Nans route, may leave her home on this one.

As always, I'm looking forward to the Saluda show and some of that Southern hospitality. The jam session is always fun, especially with some of the great local and national players. I am excited about presenting another E9th steel guitar seminar. I will conduct the seminar from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday August 19th. If you are going to attend the seminar please notify me in advance, so there will be enough CD's and lesson material for all participants. As I have done in the past, I will select 3-4 different types of songs and discuss how I arrange them for the steel guitar. For seminar info contact: Chuck Lettes at 303-797-1134 e-mail: clettes@comcast.net. I'm looking forward to another great weekend.

Looks like Ruth and I will plan the trip. Sounds like a fun one. I will see if I can get a table and do some battery-less mods for the Peavey effects units while there (Profex, Profex 2, Bassfex, Tubefex, Transtubefex, Session 2000, Transfex Pro amp and even the old Peavey Autograph(EQ). Maybe there are a few left to do out there! We have about 40 chips left and also Burr Brown chips for audio mods.

Steve G. sent info on the bed and breakfast at Saluda. Hope there is a room left! Thanks, Steve.
[This message was edited by Ken Fox on 12 July 2006 at 07:41 AM.]

ken, it'll be great seeing you, and all the other folks! That bed and breakfast is the Scurry House, right in the heart of Saluda! Great place to stay, and real sweet people to del with. The phone number is Image864) 445-7286.
And while Charles is under the weather, feel free to give me a call at (864) 456-9547, or shoot me an email. We're committed to making this the FRIENDLIEST steel guitar show in the country!

And speaking of friendly, you're not gonna meet a friendly, or funnier steel player, that ol' Ron Eliot! He's a joy to talk to---almost as much fun as listening to him play. Plan on being with us. Good food, GREAT entertainment!

Ruth and I got a room at the bed and breakfast! We also talked to Charley and will set up a table for Profex 2, etc mods! We will be doing the following:

Option 1:

$35.00 for the battery-less memory chip. I reload your settings or reload from my collection. I have a nice combo of Jeff Newman and Jeff Peterson settings I can load. You do not lose any Newman settings, just the some that were duplicated. This mod works for, Profex, Profex 2, Bassfex, Tubefex, Transtubefex, Session 2000, Transfex Pro amps, Peavey Autograph EQ and a few others!

Option 2:

$50.00 for the Burr Brown chip upgrade, Profex 2 and Bassfex only. The result is a lot less background noise and a sweeter sound. Four chips are replaced with this mod.

Option 3:

Total is $80.00 for both of the above mods for Profex 2/Bassfex.
