Looking for reasonable D-8

I have a friend that works in a music store and is great at setups and working on amps. Nicknamed (Captain Fusebox) He helps me with organizing my studio and working on projects. By my playing the pedal and lap steel he is infatuated so I let him borrow a Peavey Power slide tuned to C6 and he is hooked. I have a Guyatone
D-8 (not for sale) and he would like to get a D-8 for an extended C6 and E6 tuning. Actually, in the music store he works at he made a few sales concerning the power slide & gretsch dobro.

I said I would post if anyone had a D-8 for sale. It's nice to make an impact on getting someone started on steel.

PS: I might add my friend is new to playing steel and is interested in an inexpensive (no Name) guitar that will get him several years to see if he can get used to two necks. He also does not want a fixer upper and I can't help him out with a restoration.

What about a D9 ? I'll let go for $ 750.00 plus shipping. That would be without the four legs. But it does include a hard-shell case.
