For Gary Phillips

Post by Stephen Gambrell »

Gary,
I got an email yesterday from a fellow who's given you money, and not yet recieved his merchandise. I thought that the recent episode with my friend Dean Neeley would put a stop to your antics, but apparently it has not. You will probably claim not to have access to a computer, but any public library does. Email this man, and get him his money back. If you need to talk to somebody, call me---(864)456-9547. Everybody gets down periods in their lives, and you and I have talked about those times in both our lives. So I IMPLORE you, Gary, to do what's right.
And if any of you Ohio guys know Gary, then PLEASE relay this message to him.

Bump this one up---And I hate to add this, but PLEASE, don't anybody send Gary any money for an order, till he gets himself straightened out.
b0b, I do not like this thread, but PLEASE don't close it.

George, I got your email, and replied. We NEED to keep this thing going---It may not seem like it to some folks, but we're actually helping Gary by not sending him any money!
Gary, if you read this, and I'm sure you will, or someone will tell you about it---Please reply, OK? Tell us what's wrong---Why you keep taking peoples' money???

I know Gary, but I too have not been able to reach him, the last number he gave me I left a message there but got no reply, I know he reads the Gospel steel site and I think he is playing at Lois Manns restaurant here in Columbus Ohio in the German village area.

Gary, it's very courageous of you to come on the Forum and try to explain things. I have gotten several emails from guys who ordered stuff months ago, and have not heard from you at all. I urge you to get in touch with them, one by one, and explain what is going on with your business.
And I'll keep oyu in my prayers, that's for sure!
P.S. I work nights, so maybe I'll sleep better tomorrow Image!

Hey Gary, good to hear from you my friend, trust in the Lord and God will make a path for you to follow, You have done right by me with my case, and I like it a lot, but I do miss having a friend that likes the steel guitar as much as I do, and I miss going to steel shows with you, I do have your CD copied for you on the steel guitar if you still want it, there is no cost to it, not selling it either, so it is free, and I would like to look at your formica sometime soon if I can, want to get a sheet from you.

Mr. Phillips called me and said that he would fill my order in 30-45 days. He said that he had forgotten about my order and that he would take care of it.

Gary P.,
Where is your shop? Are you currently taking orders?
Edited to ask--What about Clyde, or Byron?
Edited to ask---Are you still building cases for Desert Rose?
[This message was edited by Stephen Gambrell on 10 August 2006 at 06:27 AM.]

Gary Watkins---
Did Gary contact you after your email, or after he saw this thread?
Gary Phillips, I am NOT "out to get you." I have NO personal vendetta, other than the fact that I hate to see trusting people lose their money. Internet transactions are getting more and more common, and most are legit. But it only takes a couple of bad deals to ruin a reputation. I hope you succeed THIS time, Gary. I really do. And I hope everyone who's ordered something from you either gets their stuff, or their money back.
By the way, the web page listed in your profile is down...

I sure hope Mr Philips will make good on all his orders, or a refund. It is obvious these fella's deserve one. I am not finding fault, or trying to interfere with others dealings. And i know hard times, and family problems often happen without reason, or warning. But right is right, and b0b gives us the wonderful opportunity to buy, sell, trade musical items to help us all. And when money changes hands, and silence follows for months....we loose credibility in a person. I guess that is to be expected, and excuses often just don't cut it. I had a living room full of rack gear sitting here from april untill july. But i did get my case from Gary, and it is made to spects. Like i said in a previous posting, been there done worse. I am not going to kick a fella when he is down, and i hope these issues will be resolved. Things like this have a direct effect on all who sell, build, trade, and buy here on the forum. All we can do is take someone at their word. That is what makes this forum work. And when a dealer or builder or seller does not live up to that word, it makes for an angry situation. I hope Garys personal problems are finally taken care of, and he can go about business as usual. Get caught up on his orders, build some great cases we all need and can use. I want to think Gary Philips is a great guy, and honest businessman, and will start on that road to making things right. May the Lord bless your life Gary, and ease any personal burdens you still carry.

Hey Gary, hope all is well.

How's the Mr. Twang Deluxe FX Rack coming along? I'd sure like to get it one day soon.

Thanks, and hang in there, buddy.
