As of tonight, my steel, the GFI Ultra D-10 that I play now has a nickname-"Redgold Beauty". The "redgold" part is because the colors of the steel are red and gold and the "Beauty" part gets its name because the steel is so beautiful. What do y'all think of it? Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10(Redgold Beauty)

That's a nice name, Brett. I call the Sho~Bud I play "Christina", and it's named for a dear friend and incredible vocalist, Christy Steele, who sings with the band I play for.

Well when I got home at midnight from picking up my pedalmaster, my 12 year old grandson just had to have me set it up. when I brought it out of the case he said " Sweet Baby Blue" and that is what it's been called since then.

I've always called my old blue Franklin "Francis B. Franklin," "B." standing for blue...

I have no idea why...

I don't really have a name for my Emmons... except M.M.S.O.B. ...

My black mica D-10 Mullen has a small black/white plastic "name tag" type label above the Royal Precision saying, "Black Beauty". They made it for me at the local office supply store.

Brett ~ my present steel doesn't have a nick-name, but I called my previous one "El Pequeno Tunante Verde" -- The Little Green Rascal ~ because that's what it was, A Rascal (and it was green !)
It probably still has that Spanish sticker on its' rear apron if it's still kicking around the U.K. (Haven't seen it since year 2000)
