I am reaching out to you 'nonpedalers' for any ideas for an inexpensive way casing up a Fender T8. Anything has got to be better than the old blanket I am using at the moment. I did post in the wanted ads but got no replies! Thanking you guys in advance- Stewart Johnson

I just built a case for one of mine. In retrospect, I think you can make one for a LOT cheaper and easier than it cost me to build mine. With minimal tools, anyone can make a rectangular box with hinges and clasps and a handle. Then, just line it with felt, or use your blanket. I had way overkill on mine... and it's still missing a handle, but if I drop it off the back of my truck it should still be good to go.

I can rarely make a post without it double posting for some reason.

Robert, you probably already thought of this, but just in case you didn't, here goes. I haven't tried this, we are in the realm of speculation here, but I think that you might find a mixer gig bag or case about the same size as a T8. Here's one possibility:

Again, not a recommendation, just an idea. HTH.

Ron, nice looking job there. Cool

The gold standard for custom road cases in the Austin area is Keal cases, up here in Round Rock...

I don't think you'll get a Pelican to hold a Fender T8... sometimes I see the cases come up on eBay, but they're usually expensive, like in the $300 area, and rare too. Heck, try G&G and see what they'll do for you...

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys, had a look at them all! For future reference to anyone else who finds themselves without a case for a Fender Custom T8, Gator cases make a 'Rolling' mixer flight case which should fit, see link below. However for the money, $230, I want to find a retailer that has one in stock so I can check the fit! Still would like an original Fender Case as well, so if anyone chances upon one let me know!! Thanks again guys!
