Emmons Ls-8 ???

So, I was looking at an old Emmons catalogue (1973 I think) and it shows an S-8 lap steel for $175.00.

I have never heard of these. Not once on the Forum. They look very simple, but nice.

Who has one? What do you know about manufature numbers? Can't be too many.
