BACK UP FOR SALE Cowboy Eddie Long's Steel 4. Sale

Post by Dan Burnham »

Buyer didn't come through so this steel is back available.

We have replaced Cowboy's steel with a new one and we have this one available for sale. This steel was used on Jamey Johnson's Last two albums and has been used on many sessions including ZZ Tops last project, Willie's and many more. We have gone through it and re certified it. $3000.00 + shipping.

I got to check out this steel at the Steel show in Mt Vernon IL this year. Very Cool!!, since this was the one used on those Jamey Johnson albums. Cowboy sounded awesome on them. Thought I'd give a bump for this fine steel and piece of steel guitar history. Someone will be lucky to get this one. Here's a pic I took of the fretboard when I saw it.

How many raises and lowers on this beauty? Eddie played some really fine music on this steel on Jamey's albums!

Cowboy started out with Compensators on certain strings when we built it and took them off afterwards.

John it has the following:

Raises = 15
Lowers = 13

How many raises and lowers per string was actually what I wanted to know, thanks, Dan.

Cowboy is a top notch player. I may buy this just for the history... if only this steel could talk.

Unfortunately Not

Post by Dan Burnham »

Sorry,
This steel cost 4525.00 new and it has a lot of history with many great artists from Willie, Kid Rock, Jamie, some work for George Jones, and countless studio sessions.

Cowboy allowed me to play this steel here at the House Of Blues in Myrtle Beach. I must say it is one of the finest sounding steels ever. The pickup is amazing. Built like a tank. Don't miss this guys. If she could talk the stories she would tell. You won't be disappointed.
