I don't do this very often, but I thought I'd post the dates for the shows I know about this summer. It's a George Strait tribute show featuring Nelson Colt and a pretty darned good band.

July 1 and 2, 2006
Quebec Rodeo Association
Fort Coulonge, Quebec
9-12:30
(This show also features fiddler Louis Shryer and the Dennis Whitty Band)

July 29, 2006
Les Estivales de St-Jerome
Rolland Amphitheatre
St. Jerome Quebec
9-12

July 30, 2006
Jacques' Trap Roadhouse
6501 Russell Rd.
Carlsbad Springs, Ont.
9-1

August 5, 2006
Hillside Hoedown
Vankleek Hill, Ont.
5:30 p.m.

Nov. 11, 2006
Congress Centre
Ottawa, Ontario
Time to be confirmed

I also work some gigs with these guys which are not full band gigs. Those and my other meanderings are listed on my page at: http://ottawajazz.com/John%20Steele/default.htm

Thanks !
-John

Thanks for that, Bill. The steel player in the videos is actually the wonderful Al Bragg from Ottawa.
Buddy, I was at Nelson's place last night and he looks forward to playing with you too. He singled out the harmony singers in your group as being particularly good !
Maybe he won't want to play with me when he gets home. Thanks,
-John

Hi John,
It is good to see you working with Nelson. I worked with him quite a few years ago in Ottawa. He is a very talented vocalist and a nice person.

I visited his site, and it was also nice to see the equally talented Al Bragg on steel. He is one of the best musicians I know.

Regards! Bob

John,
What a nice guy and talented musician. Our whole group really had a great time working with Nelson. Feels good to play an all country music show(ifin you know what i mean).
