Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper CD

I stumbled upon a Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper CD last week that’s a must for fans of their music. It is called ”On The Banks Of The River” and has 22 tracks. It was released by the British Archive of Country music (B.A.C.M.) and starts with their 1949 session Thirty Pieces Of Silver/Moonlight On West Virginia, with Bill Carver on the dobro, and works through the sessions in the 1950s with Josh Graves in his pre-Flatt & Scruggs days and ends with the sessions with Jimmy Crawford on the steel guitar.

I just don’t remember seeing this CD available before but it came in the mail today and after I played it, I was sure glad to add it to my collection.
