I had the pleasure of sitting in on PSG with the "Seldom Seen Band" at the 125th Year Town Celebration for Renwick Iowa on June 8th. A big crowd was on hand all weekend for the festivities. I traveled up from Texas at the invitation of my good friend Verle Tate (bass player for the band). Jeff Halverson is the regular steel player so he and I swapped leads during the two hour show. Jeff plays a beautiful old Sho-Bud S-10 3X3 and really does a good job. America is still alive and kicking in the small towns. Thanks to the folks in IOWA for appreciating the music. |

Doug, you are invited to Ia. anytime and hope you are treated well. We have a very strong steel community here and you should visit more. In Feb. I know it is winter in Ia. but we have a very good steel show in Waterloo, and April in Davenport. We have big name steelers come to our show and it also gives all the midwest steelers a chance to shine. We welcome you to join us and thanks for visiting us this summer. |

Roger thanks for the reply and ivitation. Everytime I come to Iowa which is every year, I am reminded of the line from the movie FIELD OF DREAMS........"Is this heaven??? No it's Iowa! There are no finer people in the world. |
