Good show Smiley! I always enjoy Jett Williams. Your guitar was clean and clear as a bell. Sounded great. Good job!

Thanks Cal....I think thats his Deckley he's playing...didnt get to play that one...played his Sho-Bud....also his Mosright Dobro.....he offered to lend it to me for a week while we were in Nashville...How nice is that??...didnt take it though....that guitar is too personal to him.

I know that Smiley is so proud to be a Drifting cowboy and to take over from his friend and Hero...Don Helms.
And I am proud of my Buddy Smiley....just for being who he is....Pssst....dont tell him !!!!
Oh Yeh!!!...nice to meet you at Long Hollow Cal..playing with my Buddy Dime !!

Cal,
Thanx for the pic. Tried to catch up w/ you after the show, but you had already "split". Maybe next time.

Tony,
YOU BET Don Helms is one of my heroes! Whatta "seat of honor" I'm sitting in. I remember trying to "cop" all of Don's licks when I was in the 1st band I ever played in. ("Lefty Bigelow & the Country Ramblers")I was about 15 yrs old. In fact, back in the early 60's,just before I left for Nashville, the band I was with, recorded one of Don's original instrumentals called "Mud Hut". It was never released,we just did it as a "sampler" tape. I REALLY enjoy working with Jett Williams. She treats the band WONDERFUL!! Thanx to all who came by that night,& to all who tuned in.
