I have a 1968 Fender Duel Showman amp head,It calls for a 4 ohm speaker.Can I use the 8 ohm evans eclipse speaker that I have with that head?? Thanks.Chuck

Personally, I always stick to the suggested load match, which in your case is to run a Dual Showman at 4 ohms. If you had another 8 ohm Eclipse you could put it in the parallel speaker jack on the back panel of the amp and get a 4ohm load.
