8-String Steel/Upright Bass Duo-F#9 swing tune LIVE

Post by Steve Cunningham »

This is an original tune called "Vitamin C#". It starts at 2:23. Played on my Tremblay, with DiMarzio pickups.

Thanks for checking it out.

Wow......what a ride that was. You've got a smokin' bassist too.

Nice to hear you playing around with some other tunings, Steve. I'm sure many surprises lie in wait.

This stuff sounds great? Did that bassist's axe shrink from pure fear, or what?

Thanks fellas.
The tuning, low to high, is F#-A#-C#-E-G#-A#-C#-E.

Yeah Howard, the Tremblay is starting to sound really good. I took the Hipshot Trilogy off, as well as the rollers on the bridge and nut, which really sweetened up the tone, and added sustain. Those DiMarzio 8-string pickups sound great too.
