Posts to the forum about about Craigslist listings lead to my purchase of two nifty guitars. Thanks for the tips!

About a year ago I bought a Rick DW16 D8 console with horseshoe pickups from a seller in Michigan. Cosmetically good, needed minor work, $500 with legs and case.
Last week I bought an Excel Byrd D8 console from a seller in Pennsylvania. Excellent plus condition, $750 with metal clad case and legs. I love this guitar! Came with a huge Jerry Byrd instruction course in a a big red binder. Text is in English and Japanese. Has one of the two original audio cassettes.
I bought these sight unseen, contrary to Craigslist principles, but was able to learn enough via pics and dialogue with the sellers so there were no surprises.
Again, my thanks to forum members who post about these items! Jeff did me a great service with the Excel.
