The Shanes new CD . Feat Albert Lee and Gerry Hogan

Post by Matt Dawson »

My song. Me on dobro. Albert Lee on guitar. Gerry Hogan on steel. Jean Marie Pesciutta on banjo and mandolin. Sorry about the bad miming to Albert's solo. If only I could really play like that... :o)

Great musicianship by all of you! Are you playing dates in Germany in the near future? I would like to come.

Yeah...nice video.
But talk about recycling band names.
The Shanes was a well established and popular band in Sweden some years ago.

Yes Anders, that name rang a bell in my head also. I love beat groups!

This Saturday 13th at the Celtic Festival in Luxembourg would be a good one if you are not too far away!

Another video from the Shanes. 'Fremantle Doctor' is the nickname of a cooling breeze that blows though Fremantle in Australia in the summer. (Bon Scott is buried in Fremantle).

And another one......'The girl who live on heaven hill' is a punk song by Husker Du that we turned into a country song. I play the dobro and do the AB moshing on steel.
