Just this last week the powers that be have hired some local musicians to play music at Sea-Tac. I was fortunate enough to be one of them. At this point it's all solo acts a various locations.
Got a nice pic in the Seattle Times with a short paragraph on me. Maybe if you fly into town you'll catch my acoustic act here.

This takes courage, Dave! One man with his voice and an acoustic. I always wanted to do this, but I always seem to find reasons against it. The main thing is that my voice is not strong enough.

It's either courage or lack of good sense. Actually playing solo is how I started playing music. I don't do a lot of solo gigs these days, but I do enjoy it.
On the plus side you can play a song anyway you want any given day(faster, slower, different key, different beat) and don't have to explain it to anybody. If people like you, you don't have to share the glory.
On the minus side, it can get lonesome and when people don't like you there's no else to blame.

Thanks. I just can't bring myself up to singing "Help" in any other key than in A. Transposing it to a key that fits my voice would mean loosing the dynamics of it all. Maybe that's one of the reasons I picked up the steel.
