Did you enlarge the holes on the fingers
so the pull rods would not bind up?

Rick, this is stock. Pullrods do not bind at all, unless you mis-align your racks--like any guitar-new or old.

James, seeing that there 'bud, just makes me smile. Beautiful.
Question: on the C6th pick-up, it looks like the pole pieces on the bottom 2 strings were pushed in a bit. I don't think my old ShoBud has that, but I'm thinking that's a great mod, as those strings tend to be too loud. Do you typically do this to your C6th PUs?
(maybe it's just the light in the photo that makes the poles look recessed)

Man, I miss my old S10 wooden neck ShoBud Pro I! I traded it for a D10 Metal Neck Pro III, which is ok, but not as mellow. - Jack

Hey Tom that is just the Top plastic plate on these old pickups....looses it's regularity/stick over the years and will come up. I haven't found it to affect the sound or volume in any way.

No Tom, It's just the pickup as Shobud let it out of the factory, and as Ricky says, age can lift the plastic top a little. It makes no difference, it's so minscule. What DOES make a difference is to lower your pickups just enough to slide 3 quarters(coins) between the strings and pickups. You can lower one end or the other of the pickup a little further if you want. But there is a "zone" where the pickup needs to be for optimum tone possible.

For those of us 'over the water' and using sterling or euros, what height is 3 quarters?

Looks like about 5mm to me. If I'm reading my scale correctly.

Same color as my 74 Pro II, I call it chestnut brown - just got a dab of auburn in the color...

Unlike emmons though, all shobud colors sound good.
