MASGA Show / Jam - Kannapolis NC. June 3 & 4

Hello Everyone:
The officials and promoters have just announced the final details of the MASGA Show / Jam in Kannapolis NC. On June 3 & 4 2006 The big show and Jam featuring Mr. John Hughey will take place and you will not want to miss it.
We have a tentative schedule for you to view below. Mr. Hughey will be performing both days.
All information for travel directions and available lodging is also listed below. If you need more information contact our Promoters

ER Chandler and Carl Epling are once again hosting a jam.
June 3rd & 4th, 2006
Kannapolis NC Moose Lodge
Old Beatty Ford Road
Special admission rate: All MASGA members with current membership cards—$5.00 for person (including spouse) each day.
Non-Members admission $10.00 per person per day.

DIRECTIONS TO EVENT: For those that will be headed south on Route 85 towards Kannapolis, NC, take exit #68. Go through two stoplights, then (1) flashing caution light, then turn left at the next stoplight onto Old Beatty Ford Road. Go approximately 1 mile. Moose Lodge will be on the left.

DIRECTIONS TO EVENT: For those that will be headed North on Route 85 towards Kannapolis NC, take exit #58. This will put you on Route 29 north. Go approximately 7 miles (through Kannapolis) until you see the Landis City Limit Sign. Go another 1/2 mile until you come to stoplight and turn right on Old Beatty Ford Road. Go approximately 1 mile, Moose Lodge will be on the left.

Sat.09:00—09:30 Registration
09:30—03:30 Individual Steel Players with tracks (15 min/person)
No Lunch Break—”eat & run”
03:30—04:00 Break for band setup
04:00—05:30 Steel Players Jam with Band
05:30—06:30 Supper Break
06:30—07:00 Showtime—with pre-selected steel players
07:00—08:00 John Hughey Performs
08:00—09:45 Showtime with band—pre-selected steel players and/or singers
09:45—10:30 John Hughey 2nd performance
10:30—11:00 Showtime


Sun.09:00—09:30 Registration
09:30—11:00 Gospel Steel Music
11:00—01:00 Individuals with tracks (starting w/players who didn’t perform on Sat.)
01:00—02:00 John Hughey’s final performance
02:00—03:00 Steel players jam with band

I'm looking forward to it. A great organization (MASGA). The Kannapolis Show and Jam is one of my favorites and Ken is one of my favorite people. See you all there.

UMMMMMM Well Ken I think your Hero might be all moved in in Greeneville TN. by then and Anna and I will be motoring down for the Jam.It sure will be nice to see all our great freinds again.Let me know if my dues are due.

OH Darn I will be moving on the 3rd of June. I thought I was going to be able to make it but I guess I'll have to wait for the next one.

bump, Mark your calenders now, Make your reservations at one of the Motels listed below and get special rates. Mention the MASGA and Steelguitar show and you will get special discount rates thanks to ER Chandler and Carl Epling (Promoters of the MASGA Jam and Show. Don't forget they have approx 10 camper hook ups for Water and Electricity.

Everyone needs to be making their plans now to attend and participate with us at the great show and Jam. Come out and support the MASGA (Mid-Atlantic Steel Guitar Association)You will enjoy the fantastic Steel Guitar playing of the Famous and Great "John Hughey" along with a lot of other super players such as Chuck Campbell, Jerry Fleming, Arnett Mills, Joe Turner, Bryan Adams, Mike Calaway, Glenn Lanning, and many others. You will not want to miss this event. Plan Now!!!!

If you have not been to the Kanapolis MASGA show you are missing one of the greatest Steel Shows and times of your life. I will be missing this one only because I won't be living in Tennessee until the day of the Show. Darn I will miss a chance to play with john Hughey there.Have a great time guys I will see you all soon.Keep up the good Work guys.

Talked with ER and Terry Rodgers yesterday.Terry says he is coming up for the show. Terry is a excellent singer and ER says he needs to sing a few songs.

Web site updated with pictures of players tentatively scheduled to perform. I lack a couple of pictures, but will continue searching. Others will be performing as our promoter sets the schedule.

Great choice of headliners! Mr. Hughey is a master of the steel guitar and just as wonderful to talk to. John and Jean Hughey are two of my favorite people. Sorry I'm gonna miss them. Have a great show!
