Anybody know anything about them(it)? There is a nice looking 6 string made with some nice looking wood on Gbase for $199. looks like a deal if you need one.

The seller is Retro Music, a vintage guitar shop in Keene NH, about an hour away from me. I've never heard of a "Vermont Steel" and a Google search turns up nothing other than this lap steel at Retro Music. It don't see any name or logo on the guitar. It looks like a one-off made by someone... well made, brass nut and bridge, strings through the body. BTW, Fessenden steel guitars are made in VT.

I've seen two, played one. It was a lot of wood, wide string spacing, sounded great- I remember the neck gradually widened towards the head, which seemed unusual. This was a year or so ago in Rutland VT at a music store - the shop owner told me about the builder- of course I remember nothing-
