CBC's Espace musique has a great jazz program that airs every weeknight. They play lots of great jazz, old and new. Unfortunately steel guitar isn't a regular sound on there so I was pleasantly surprised when they played some new tracks by vocalist Madeleine Peyroux. A great singer with steel guitar by Dean Parks I do believe. Nice stuff!

I just bought her album "The Blue Room" on iTunes... Cool stuff... Very different approach to the standards... Steel is used very tastefully, never upfront but very cool!!

Dean Parks did a *killer* intro and solo on one of Madeleine Peyroux's previous albums on the song Instead. Amazing tone on slide guitar. check it out: Dean killing it with taste on the slide quitar

I Really Like Madeleine's Singing.

IMO She Sounds A Bit Like Maria Muldauer. 8)
