Thank you so much guy I sure do appreciate that. I don't why I didn't give you my phone # but, i'll have to do some searching cause it seems I remember someone sending me a way I may be able to get in touch with him at some opry in Texas that he works on, but you did me a great favor, thank you. I think I first met him in Ca. at the palamino club. I grew up out there and worked with or got to know a lot of the guys out there and in 70 when I left there and went to work for Ray Price (playing bass) we did a tour out there and after that every time he came to Okc with Buck Owens to tape thier tv shows he would spend time with me and I enjoyed his friendship. Sorry, I didn't mean for this to turn into a letter but it means a lot to me that you passed along the hi. thanks again, db

Dale,

I have a good friend Louis Fournerat, who plays Steel on the staff band at the Alvin,TX. Opry every weekend . Tony Booth sings on that opry at least once a month . That would be a place you could contact him, possibly .

Here is a link to the Opry web site :
http://www.alvinopry.com

Hope this helps !
John

I hear a lot of Tony Booth's songs on XM Radio. I'm just wandering who the steel player is on a lot of his earlier stuff. Sounds a lot like like HUGHEY at times.

Dale, this is Tony's website: http://www.tonybooth.homestead.com/.
He plays at the Alvin Opry every Friday and Saturday and always sings three or four songs. He sings several more when he's the featured performer. His brother Larry used to alternate weekends with him but recently gave it up to devote more time to music at his church. Tony is one of my favorites.
