Norm had his Dobro stolen after they played Tyler Texas April 28th. Please be on the lookout for a square neck, 8 string RoBro.
It was made for him by Ron Frasier, and has Norm's name on the back of the neck. Thanks for any help.
[This message was edited by Larry Petree on 03 May 2006 at 11:41 AM.]

Norm, hate to hear your dobro got stolen. We need to find a way to keep all these wanta-be musicians from having access in the near areas of the players. That won't stop the car break-ins and home robberies but it keep a lot persons out of reach of your equipment and guitars.Nine to one the person that took it can't play a lick.
Hope the Tyler PD finds the person and a jury takes the charges seriously and not say $50.00 fine and 4 week-ends in lock-up with community service.
Again good luck finding it.
Serial munber probably won't matter, as it has your name on it.
[This message was edited by Curtis Alford on 03 May 2006 at 11:34 AM.]

Scumbags!!! I'll hit some pawn shops and local music stores this weekend and see if I see anything. Who do we need to contact if we see something... Other than the police?

Respectfully,

Norm Hamlet's Dobro Stolen - Reward Offered
In Tyler, TX on the 28th of April, Norm Hamlet's Dobro was stolen. This dobro guitar is a very rare and unique instrument that has been used on many hit records and many great shows. This guitar is very sentimental to Norm and this action has upset him and we would really like to get the Dobro returned. It is in a large black guitar case and was last seen on the edge of the stage in Tyler TX. A reward of $250 will be offered to enyone with information that leads to the return of the dobro. Please post information to the contact information on this website.

Info at www.merlehaggard.com

I am the builder of this . Jr Knight , the steel guitar man has a twin to it.

I feel safe in saying that if anyone here can help in recovering this, that reward $$ will not come into play. This blows. Here's hoping....

I guess we need a small Lo-Jack system for our equipment. It works great for cars. How about a Dobro calling, "I want to come home."

A good looking man isn't he? Talked with him yesterday and he has not heard any more about the Robro. He left for Redding and will do a wedding and maybe do some recording at the studeo.

I'll keep an eye out for it too. I'll also ask around. Sure hate to hear Norm lost it here or anywhere for that matter.
