May 5 & 6, 2006.

Join us for our first trip to the Indy Gospel Steel Guitar show.

Linda and I will pull our sound trailer up from Atlanta and provide you with the same quality sound that we did in Chattanooga (we hope).

Joining us will be Doc & Pat Stewart from Vero Beach, FL.

Doug Rolfe asked me to play the show, but I had to opt out. Just too much going on at home for me to put a show together that would not embarass all of us. hehe

Hoping to see a BUNCH of you there.

Oh yes, here is a link for more info http://www.gospelsteel.com/

Hey Mr. Bill, it will be my first time to play the Indy Gospel Show as well and I'm really looking forward to it.
Since Indiana is my home state, I'll get to visit with some of my family and old friends
as well, raised only about 70 miles north of there I'll be back home again in Indiana
if you will.
I've heard so many good things about this show I can hardly wait, see you all soon.

The lineup is still a little up in the air right now. John Hughey, David Spires, Scotty and possibly Herby Wallace will be some of our headliners. We are still working on some slots. We will also have many of our regulars such as Jerry Roller, Albert Svenddal, L.T. Zinn, Jack Heern, Jerry Newberry and Austin Stewart, Tim Patterson (sacred steel), Dennis Robison family, Fred Justice, Cliff Waterman, Rob Parker, Wayne Smith and others yet to be named.

Wow.....Albert Svendaal, David Spires, John Hughey and (hopefully) Herby Wallace....now THAT'S a good lineup!!!! Image If I didn't live in Indy, I'd be driving to this one just to see those four.....they are each amazing to watch in person.

Doug. Thanks for inviting me to come this year. I always have the time of my life when I am able to come. Unfortunately, my sax man can't make it this year, but I have something very different and special this year. And I promise not to break my wrist this year. God Bless. Albert Svenddal

I am so excited to be returning to the Gospel Steel Guitar Convention this year, after my schedule caused me to miss it last year. Beyond playing, it will be so good to see so many great friends, and just spend a great weekend together.

Doug, I have my fingers crossed that there will be no last minute change in my schedule, and I look forward to seeing you soon.

If any of you reading this have never been to this show, you are missing something unique and special. I've never been to any other event that combines great steel guitar, with the open and strong faith of its participants. All of you make me feel very welcome.

It's going to be a wonderful time,

David Spires

Hey David...Barbara and I are looking forward to seeing you and the lovely Miss Becky in a few weeks. The show is just what you say, a wonderful and up-lifting weekend of fellowship and faith, with a great friendly atmosphere, hosted by a great guy, Doug Rolfe, assisted by his lovely wife, Stevie.
Also looking forward to our being able to work together again....what fun.
See you both soon,
....Roy and Barbara

Hello David, I wish I could make this Gospel steel show to hear you play, but I am going to be in Wisconsin visiting with my girl friend, I wanted to ask if you are still playing your Carter? you really make that guitar sing when you were here last at Rick Troyers show.

Thanks for the link http://www.gospelsteel.com/

Some of the t shirt links are dead. Are all of the sizes and colors available?

Is there a list of who plays on the vids/DVDs?

Speaking of gospel, have you heard the singer Nicole C. Mullen? When she does straight gospel, as on Billy Graham shows, she's great, though she does some Contemporary Christian, which isn't quite for me, but you might like it.

Hi Steven,

The Carter will be appearing with me in Indy! It's my main axe, and the guitar I use on the road. I do still use my MSA, when I have to be in two places at once (well, nearly at once), and often in my home studio. I was really thinking just a couple of nights ago, just how happy I have been with the performance of my Carter - night in and night out.

Have fun on your trip, and thanks a lot for the kind words. Hope to see you soon.

Thanks again,

David Spires
