Well.....we're 19 days (and counting) away from The Non Pedal Sessions Weekend and I know that many people are looking forward to it....here are some updates....
Unfortunately Bobby Black won't be able to make it this year and we will certainly try again for next year....but fortunately we have a full line up of great players with many who will be gracing our stage for the first time......
Since Dec 10 when we first posted our thread for the 2013 Non Pedal Sessions, we received a total of 14 donations......half of which are from the players.....as you can imagine, we are running way behind the eight ball to put on a show like this. Since we are not funded by the TSGA, charge at the door, or have any merchandise to sell.....donations are are our only means of support, so at this time we need to seek other means of support to at least attempt to break even.....
If you are attending the show and have not yet made a donation, we really would appreciate your support.
If you are attending the show and wish to donate at that time, we will have a donation box on the premises.
The amount of money that each individual contributes is less important than the amount of people who contribute. There's greater strength in numbers. The numbers are out there as over 2600 people view the post show video thread every year. If you like what we're doing and would like for us to continue doing it.....please support us.
please donate here......thank you...
Those of you who cannot attend the show, whether you're 8 miles away or 8 thousand miles away, we will be webcasting/live streaming the show in it's entirety......we will be asking for a minimum donation to view the show live.....details will be in a separate thread.......those who have already made donations from Dec 10 'til now, your donation is good for our webcast.....
In the back of our room we have tables and allow people to bring their used guitars and gear to display and sell....if you sell something that you have displayed in our room, we ask for a commission of 6%......
One of the things that everybody loves is our Pizza Party in the late afternoon on Friday. This was started by Rick and has been a tradition. The Pizza Party is free. This was a topic of discussion a few days ago of whether to do away with this......for this year it's too late since we placed the order with the hotel a few months ago.....going forward we'll see how we fare......as I said, people love it.....it's a great chance to mingle, laugh, schmooze, and get to know one an other.....we would hate to see it go by the wayside but for this year.....enjoy it as we will.....
The Chagall room will be open both Fri & Sat evenings for jam sessions, catch as catch can.....times will be posted at the hotel......
We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new friends...... |
