Supro Louie with pedals?

Post by Marvin Randolph »

I've been looking for a 8 string lap to learn on and cam across this.

Not sure if the pedals are aftermarket, homemade or factory option. I have the original case and there is no place for the pedal stuff.

Everything works...just need a couple hours of cleanup and pots/switches cleaned.

I would appreciate any comments or info on value, optimal tuning(s), ( I'm thinking C6 )

Thanks for looking!

Looks like this with pedals added:

I bet "Louie" was a previous owner.

Oops...why didn't I notice that!

Does anyone know of a 2 or 3 pedal 8 string setup?

I know the sky is the limit as far as tunings go. I enjoy old and some new country mixed in with bluegrass and gospel. Is there a particular tuning that would cater to my style?

Thanks a lot.

It looks a lot like my old '61 Console.... I think those pedals must have been added. Here's some shots of my 8 stringer. The T-Bird emblem was added by the previous owner...JH in Va.
