1960 Rickenbacker Double Neck

Post by Mark Suits »

I am a new member here but have been lurking for a couple of years. I am an amateur but I've been looking for a double neck. This one is on Ebay, is it worth the price at $1,200?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hard to say with that model - its pretty rare and short lived. Most pre-63 Rics are very nice. after the Beatles showed up playing Ric gtrs, the steels went downhill fast.
I would say $1k...but that one is clean.

Very clean & natural, looks like it just came from the factory, it should sell fast, good luck.

Probably worth it as clean as it is. I have the DW16D8 and it is a great sounding instrument.

Looks great, but it is a double six. Is that what you want?

It seems to me that six stringers are less value than eight stringers. But yeah it depends on what you want and what type of music you want to play.

I am also generally frustrated by the prices I see on eBay.

Thanks, it is a great looking piece but I think I will hold out for a double 8.
