I have four 7/8" diameter bars that I measured and weighed. They are listed in the table by my order of preference Smile.

The three steel bars are easy to rate. Of those the BJS is the best, hands down. It was my first bar that I have used a lot. It is a joy to use, beautiful tone, and shows absolutely no signs of wear. The Dunlop is the worst and the deadest. The Ernie Ball is lively, sounds good, and inexpensive, but I don't know how well they hold up.

The Zirc is in a class by itself. It is a high performance bar with a nice tonal sweet spot. Non-metalic, hard, smooth, high-tech, it is my go-to bar for both pedal and lap. For lap I find the 7/8" steel bars to be uncomfortably heavy while the short 3/4" bars are not substantial enough for me. So for lap the Zirc is just right. Very Happy
