Steel Jam in IL sometime soon???

I thought I saw a steel jam session on this page for somewhere in IL, can some one please give me the details?

Benton, Il at the Civic Center, April 20 - 22. Maybe even 4/23. It's the Southern Il SG show. Don Helms and Ron Elliot will be in the house among other great players. Come on down! You'll be able to pick up Ron's new CD - Most Requested and I believe Don may have his new one - Don Helms Tribute to Hank Williams - ready then too.

The lineup for the featured players is Ron Elliott, Don Helms, Joe Wright, Lynn Owsley, Russ Hicks and Randy Beavers. There will be many other players there as well. Thursday 10am to 5pm will be an open jam. Anyone who wants to come in and play,(not only steel, all players are welcome) can get up on stage and show their stuff. Thursday night will be some local bands that are very good. Friday show starts at 10am with scheduled players till 5pm. Starting at 6pm will be Lynn Owsley, Jackpot Country, Ron Head and the Showboys followed by an open jam. Saturdays show will kick off at 10am and run till probably 11pm or so. There will be a silent auction, 50/50 drawings and lots of fun. Everyone come on down and enjoy this great weekend.

We will have the Nashville guys up here again to back the featured players. As soon as it is known who they will be, I'll let you know. Don Curtis will be joining us again this year as well. This show is really shaping up to be a "really great shew".

The schedule has been posted to our website. The players from Nashville will be Earl Erb, Rick Van Augh, Rick Boyer and Jerry Webb. All great players and fun to be around.

I love this show. I never miss it now. This year it's on my 40th birthday and that's where I'm gonna be to celebrate. I sure hope more people come to Benton, IL to check out this show. Real cool, spacious room, good sound, great band, great players, very relaxed environment, tons of fun. It's pretty easy to get to as well. Right there off I-57 in Southern Illinois. Don't miss it.
