This is one of the best steel shows that I have ever been associated with. Jimmy Powell is a superb host and a great steel guitar player and he produces a first class show. There are many great players, example on this show, John Hughey and Russ and Laney Hicks and several super players from surrounding states plus a top notch band to work with them. Like Dana said "don't miss it".

I spoke to Jimmy the other day and told him, "Ole Ben and Ms Mickey will be there to see, and hear this one".

Like Roy said, they have a tremendous back up band, and with Roy and Paul in the mix, where could you go wrong.

Callahan's Restraunt serves some kinda great food. The atmosphere is just plain "HOME FOLKS", and we love it every trip we make to Jimmy Powell's shows.

The Callahan Restaurant is approximately one mile west of SR 71 on SR 20. If you're on highway 20, look for the sign, ( next door to Pizza Hut).
This show is a huge treat, as Jimmy Powell is a "class act" in his own right. Dana Flood will assuredly be playing some kind of vintage Emmons thru a Steel King, producing an enviable tone. Not to mention that John Hughey, Russ and Laney Hicks will be there, AND Roy Rosetta is well enough to return for this show!

You betcha...be sure to tell Wayne about that strawberry pie !!!! Hughey and Rosetta will be there to eat our weight in it, along with all the other great food that Wayne serves at "The Callahan" . The only thing's that are better than the strawberry pie are the great steel guitarist and musicians that will be playing for all of you that attend the show and with the addition of Russ and Laney along with, the one and only, John Hughey, heck it's the only way to spend a Saturday (February 25th) in Florida.
Jimmy amd Olean Powell are "class" individuals who put on a great show and I'm proud that they ask me and Barbara over each year to be a small part of it.
See yall in Blountstown...

Well Hey Roy !!!!!

I'll second that motion about Jimmy putting on a great show. None better !!!! Bet you didn't know that I call Jimmy, "SMOOTH 2" did you.

Well the reason for that is on account of his talent on the steel. He is "SMOOTH".

One of the greatest folks you'll ever want to meet. Course, Olean keeps the boy straight.

Really looking forward to the show and seeing you and Barb, along with all the other fine folks scheduled on the show. Hey,,,,, don't let Paul forget his clubs.
