Hats off to my pal Bill Lloyd for launching the "Nashville Cats" series saluting the great Nashville session players who contributed so importantly to country music. Some long overdue recognition indeed!
Bill said that the next musician to be interviewed in the series will be Charlie McCoy, sometime in June.
Bill was half of the duo Foster and Lloyd, who's band at different times included Bruce Bouton and Pete Finney and is now the Curator of Musical Instrument at the Country Music Hall Of Fame. He also continues to write songs and had a cut on the last Trisha Yearwood CD and has a song coming out on the next release from Cheap Trick.
Congratulations Lloyd! I'm so pleased to have been there. Jon
