Mastertone Lap Steel ?

Anyone played or have one of these? What's the scoop? (I know the price is probably high, I'm just using the Elderly's picture for reference).

I know they were made by Gibson. What's the sound and playability like?

That one has been there for like a year or more. It is over priced. It has the legendary Gibson P13 pickup and it will likely be the best tone of any lap steel you will ever hear, but it still is over priced. See if you can find the same pickup and plate combination on a Silvertone or off brand. They sound wonderful. Wish I never had sold mine. I paid $80 for it on Ebay 5 years ago. For some reason I found the playability to be spectacular. It was so easy to intonate.
