I'll be playing steel with Bluewater, an original-music rock band at The Joint, here in LA on 2.4.06 at 1100 pm. The Joint is at Pico and Robertson.
Bluewater's music is a bit like Jackson Brown,Boston, and the Eagles, but like I said, it is all original music. Wayne, on lead guitar is very talented, and worth dropping by for.

I am gratified to know that people actually pay attention to my postings, Mike.

Suffice it to say that it isn't country. When I told Al Vescovo I am working with a rock band, not a country band, he said:"GOOD".

Nothing against country, but it is good to expand one's horizons and diversify one's skills.

The Joint is a smoke free environment, by the way. There's some irony for you.

Jim, what's your amp/effects rig like?
Will it be different for this band?
Will you be playing slide parts that a lead guitar player might play?
Power chords?
I'd love to do a rock gig!

Hey Rand,
The gig went well, as it was my first time with this band and only three rehearsals. I played with my Nashville 112 and Zum D-10. We were preceeded by an awful and very loud headbasher band, so I was numb after them.
See you soon,
Jim
