I think this is the 4th edition Gram Parsons Tribute that I've put together. A true labor of love. This time around we have forum member Bob Knetzger on steel and I'll be holding down the guitar and dobro on a couple of tunes. Some great players and guest singers and music from ISB, The Byrds, FBB and we'll be playing GP and Grievous Angel in their entirety.

Bump for this, coming up this Sat night.

Here's what I'm bringing to the party...fuzz tone, steel and sequins.

Great Sneaky Pete Nudie sequins there - is that a vest or a shirt?

It's a long sleeve black sweatshirt.

BIG thanks to Peggy Hanson at Cyrpess Cowboy for the dinosaur image--scanned directly from Pete Kleinow's original via Anita Kleinow. You can get t shirts (with the image on the back here:

Here's a nice shot from the GP show, with all the singers onstage together to do "In My Hour of Darkness."

L-to-R, that's me on steel, Kim Field, 'Country' Dave Harmonson, Tom Bennett, Brigitt Rains, Gaye Winsor, Ann Herring , Fredd Luongo, , and Bill "Jed" Jedrzelewski. (not seen: on drums, Bob Kahr and Jesse Harmonson, bass and vocals)

That was a great show, you guys. Saw the first 90 minutes of it.

Everyone did a great job...lots of talent on stage.

Thanks, Brian. I love putting this show on even though it is lots of work to organize. Bob Knetzger truly did a great job covering sounds of Sneaky Pete, Lloyd Green, Jay Dee Maness, Buddy Emmons and Al Perkins and covering some keyboard parts with his Lesley effect. A real fun Saturday night for sure.

Jim,

I think Neil played at one of the two Gram tribute shows held in November this year in Austin.
