$225 + $25 shipping to forum members in lower 48. Check or money order.
Rogue squareneck with up-grades. Asian import. Black gloss finish body and neck. Bound body and fretboard. Body is mahogany w/spruce top. Larger body app. 15 1/4" lower, 11" upper bout.

Quarterman cone, bone nut, capped bridge inserts. Appear to be ebony over maple? Sound OK so didn't change.

Original spider bridge and inserts as received in the instrument 2007 or 2008, can't recall for sure.

Strap is not included.

It did not come with a case, but will pack well and ship FedEx or US Postal whichever is most economical.

I sized and installed the cone to fit the 10 1/2" soundwell, leveled the bridge legs, did a set-up etc. I slotted and installed a new bone nut, but did not glue it in or trim the edges.
EJ42 bronze strings tuned to dobro G.

Fit and Finish is slick...there are some light scratches here and there on the finish as well as some playing scratches on the cover plate. It has a clean sound with no rattles or buzzes except as noted.

Issues: Slight overtone ringing on first string regardless of set-up or strings ga.

Openings for sound hole screens are too big for the screen flanges to fit tight so they are glued to the top.
[Edited to add: I forgot to state that one of these came loose shortly after I got it. When I finished pulling it out to reglue, a small chip came out with it. It was reglued and has caused no problems so far. It is shown in the photo bottom of page.]

It's been in my home mostly except for maybe a half dozen outings. Good condition. Sounds fine. Plays well. A good entry level instrument for a first timer or beginner or if you just need to scratch the reso itch.

Use PM feature as contact. Regional meet and greet cash deal has priority.Picture filePicture filePicture file

price drop

Post by Jerry Overstreet »

Solid, easy player with a good set-up and decent tone on the cheap.

I'm being reminded these can be bought new online for less than this price. True, but they don't come with a Q cone, bone nut, and the set-up.

I'm dropping the price to $200 + $25 shipping lower 48. That's the best I can do. JPQuarterman cone, bone nut and set-up at a bargain.
