I have had my Hilton Pedal for a few years. I bought it new from Keith.
It works great and I have no real problem with the power supply, etc...
However, I finished playing a gig this afternoon and noticed that the AC cord (where it exits the pedal chassis) is pulled out and the foil wire is apparently broken. See photos.
How can I get this repaired???

Hi Jim -
Yes. I have done that. The email posted on his website is klhilton@aol.com. I assume that his "forum" email address is the same.
I explained in my email my pedal repair need and also that I am not looking to gain anything by posting here...except a solution to my problem. I love this pedal and would like to prevent further damage.
Who knows, perhaps there is a simple fix that I am overlooking?
Thanks _________________ Tim Harr

Tim, i had a similar problem at a gig, a little splicing and it worked for the night, then i sent it back to Keith. He repaired and upgraded the pedal plus made sure it was set to his specs.. |

Hey Tim, Hope all is well. I haven't seen you in a long time.
If you're any good at soldering, just cut a couple of inches
off where it goes into the pedal. Remove the little wires one
at a time and solder the new ends on. This way you won't
get any of the wires reversed. Easy to do. Hope this helps.

Hi Carl...
I can solder pretty well.. however, I want to have the pedal checked out by Keith. In addition to the cord (as shown), the tone pot (thumb screw) is also acting strange.
I would feel more comfortable having it go through a "check up", since I rely on this pedal so heavily. It has never let me down on a gig or session - which I am happy to say.
Be in touch.

Tim, I sent you an e-mail concerning my repair policy. Yes, I repair pedals no matter how old they are. 99% of the time I can fix a pedal to work like new. I have had some come in that had been under water for an extened period. I assume in a flooded basement. Also, had one that was dropped off the top of a car doing 70 miles per hour, and the car beind ran over it. |

Posted 22 Oct 2012 11:52 am Tim Harr, where is my flight case?
|
|
Tim, in June 2008 I paid you $230 for a flight case for a Webb.
You have only given me excuses why you have not sent me the flight case, or why you refuse to return my $230.
For example, here is a typical email from you -- this one from November 2008:
"Chris,
I will ship this case this weekend. You have my sincere appologies for the oversight.
Upon completion of the shipping transaction, I will send you the tracking information.
Thank you,
Tim Harr"
Are you ever going to return my money or send me the flight case? Did you buy that Hilton pedal with my money? Must be bad karma. Hilton pedals usually resist wear and tear. _________________ Chris Lucker

Dern! Karma bites... new snack.
I'm also hearing "... how can I get this repaired?... I want it checked out by Keith..."... then what are you doing here? Trying to shame someone into a freebie?
What I see is a simple strain-relief operation... not sure if the thing's even non-operational. It still works, doesn't it? Then what are you whining about?
Open up the strain relief, screw it back into the case, put the cable back in, and put the strain relief back together. Or send it to Keith and pay his standard charge. _________________ Too much junk to list... always getting more. |

Gosh, Tim Harr, you seem pretty uppity about your contacting Hilton and the minutes it took him to reply.
Gosh, it has been since 2008 and I am still waiting for you to send the Webb flight case I paid you for.
It is clear to me. at least, that you have a double standard when it comes to responses.
I do not want to do the math, why don't you reply to the Forum and tell us how many minutes it has been since you received my 2008 payment for the Webb Flight Case you sold to me and I paid for in full -- including shipping. _________________ Chris Lucker

Tim, did you reply and I missed it? Just wondering. And wondering what happened with the money I sent you. _________________ Chris Lucker
