Here's my take on Paul Franklin's solo on Together Again with Vince Gill that was recently posted. You guys with better ears
PLEASE feel free to tweak this. Even though it ain't perfect, it made me feel like a steel player.

Harold, you are my hero for even attempting to tab this. Can't wait to give it a try.

Harold that looks pretty good to me by listenning and following along to youre tab. I am going to try this out. Thanks. If that was the only steel ride I ever heard for the rest of my life I would be happy!!!

Paul always amazes me; he is simply fantastic. IMO, he was born to play the psg.

Really moving. Standard Emmons set-up? What is the X for in the tab? (Pardon my ign'ance.)

The X is the lever (usually vertical) that lowers you B's to B flat

My setup isn't a standard E9th setup. It's a mixture of an extended E9th and Universal tunings. And yes, my X lever lowers the 5th string to a Bb and the G lever raises the 2nd string to an E.

Is the X for the right or left up knee? Do you call the other up knee Y?

My "X" lever is right-knee-left and my G lever is left-knee-vertical. I only have one vertical knee lever. I thought about putting one in the middle ..... I guess that would be for my wee-knee.

Would those middle ones be the Dolly Parton lever?

She does have a nice set of string warmers I'll give her that one.

Harold on bar 2 at fret 11 you write pedal B on string 6 & B1/2
just what is B1/2 ? a quick nudge like one does on half of pedal A
Thanx for the tabs, effort & time you put in

Yeah, to me it sounded like he barely let off the B pedal as he went to 11 and then again when he went to 12.

In the tab, you have a D lever on the 4th string in a couple of places. Is that a split for lowering the 4th string a half step when you use the C pedal? I don't believe I have my guitar setup for that.

by Harold Bullard
Nope, the D lever and the C pedal are not used at the same time.

So Harold, what does your D lever do?

Standard D lever ... lowers E to Eb.

Harold, this is such an amazing PF solo. Thanks for tabbing!
Its late and Im just starting to follow this, little by little. There are so many nuances in his style and technique of playing here.
In bar 1 it sounds to me like he holds the B pedal at the end:
[tab]
8C-8
8B-8B
[/tab]
Let me know if you hear this as well.
Cheers!

I think you got something there Clete. It also seems to flow into the 10BC a lot smoother. Good ears!! I appreciate the correction.
I also just found another goof. On page 2, on the 13th fret on the F chord, it should read 13EBC, not 13DBC.
