We made this a couple of days ago in Galveston as a first attempt at a music video. I used a Melobar 8 string (A6/F#7) that I bought back in '95. Pardon the inept steel-synching!

Hey Matt,
Not A Top Ten Tune, But Very Entertaining Just The Same.

As one who has never posted an audio track or a video, I suppose my opinion is of little value, but what the heck? I kinda liked it, BUT. There is one thing really annoying about this vid. It’s the electric bass without any note decay. Why people play those damn things I can’t figure out. The bass line sounds like a series of burps. Bloody dreadful, but fun.

Thanks for posting, the Grass Skirts look like a fun band with fun songs (I visited your web page). From the pics on the website it looks like you also play pedal steel. You lap steel shoulder-stand looks interesting...is that a window?
Great work all around!

Darrell, it was actually mid-70's that day and a storm had just passed through the night before. But gray and windy do not a summery day make!
John, I used to play PSG, but shelved it a few years back. I got tired of the weight and the set-up/tear-down time. Plus, I could never get the right tone like I can out of a non-pedal. The tray is simply a wood frame with a Lexan bottom. Two crossing guitar straps are used to provide stability.
