Great resophonic tone. Never have been a huge fan of the resophonic sound, but this could change my mind. Was your accompaniment a single standard 6 string acoustic? Who played that part? It was well done too, and a big contributor to the overall effect. It was also very well recorded. What kind of mikes were used? Nice job.

Martin -
Mr. Koch's website is currently quite - uhm - basic. What price range are his instruments in?
Thank you,
Uli

Ulrich: (are you German?)
I know that Markus website is currently offline. He told me that it is going to take a while until it is available but he is happy to answer all questions about his instruments and prices via email. You find his email adress when you go to the webside adress that is shown in the video.

yes the accompainmet guitar you hear is a 1947 Martin D18. You are right this guitar makes a lot of support for the complete arrangement. There are some harmonie lines and bass runs included that helps the resoguitar sound nice. I played that guitar myselve and it took more time to do the guitar track than the reso track.
For the signal chain I used my AKG mic. into a Yamaha O2R mixing console into the Logic Pro software for both instruments. For the bass I used a MXL 992 mic.
