Does anybody sell a 7-string set for C6 tuning? Should I just buy a 10-string set of psg nickels? Or what gauges of phosphor bronze singles should I buy?

For my 8-string dobro I buy normal phosphor-bronze 12-string sets... I get the Martin SP and pick and choose. This is good for when you need the set quick!

It looks like Scotty doesn't have 7-string sets. http://www.scottysmusic.com/dobrosets.htm
But I could buy a set of his nickel 10-string singles. He has a lot to choose from.

An acoustic 12-string set sounds like an efficient way to get pb all at once rather than buying a bunch of singles.

Buy a set of C6th strings for six string guitar plus an extra string in the gauge that is appropriate for the extra string you'll be using. No need to buy a ten string set and not use three of them.

Thanks, Brad. Who sells either nickel or pb C6 6-string sets?

Bobby Ingano uses the following (low to high):
Bb E G A C E G on his 7 string Rick. On my 8 string resonator and electric steels, I add a low G to get more of a jazzy sound. - Jack

Call Scotty and tell him what you want. He'll make you up a set. He made me up a set of custom strings for my reso several years ago.

Start with the Strings link at the top of this page.

Just Strings is another good source.
