Me playing "Song For Sara" (Paul Franklin tune)

It's a bit scary sticking my neck out in this crowd... :whoa: But since lots of players post videos of themselves, here I go. This is me playing with a local trio, just my LeGrande III through a Fender Steel King, with a bit of delay/reverb. Any comments are appreciated. :)

And here's an old Buck Owens classic we play frequently.

The Steel King amp sounds full, it sounds warm like a tube amp.

Thanks a lot, y'all are too kind :D Maybe I'll post some more later. I just discovered that I should probably have posted this over in the "Steel on the web" section, but I trust it will be moved if it's not appropriate here.

Absolutely fantastic! Your Song for Sarah brought tears to my eyes. "No flies on you" on "Heartache", either. Mighty fine!

I hope that you will post some more; IMO this is really great. I think that we've found something here. Can you have some lights repositioned so we can see you better?

Fantastic playing Henning! That Emmons sounds great. I have to ask how you do your quick rolls starting at
1:06. Keep them coming!

Thanks!
Rod

Thanks again, everyone :)

Rod Robichaud: I'm not sure... I don't think too much about what I'm playing, and I don't do the same licks every night. I'll watch the video and try to find out.

For Rod Robichaud:

Let's see. The song is in the key of C. The part you are asking about is played over the G chord, going back into C.

It starts at the 15th fret, no pedals. Pick string 3-1-4, slide to fret 13, string 3-1-4. Then slide to the 10th fret with the B pedal down, pick string 3-1-4, then slide to the 8th fret with the B pedal down and the E string lowered, pick string 3-1-4.

Then release the B pedal, slide to the 6th fret with the F pedal engaged, and pick strings 3-1-4. Slide to the 4th fret with the F pedal engaged and a 1/2 tone raise on the 1st string, pick strings 3-1-4.

Then slide to the 3th fret with no pedals, pick strings 3-1-4. Slide to the 1st fret with no pedals, picks strings 3-1-4. I think that's it, but I'm not at my steel, so I may be wrong in some places.

You can give all the chords and numbers but it wouldn't sound the same as you have played..Thats good touch and tone from your fingers and ears..
