I'm looking for a good quality SD-10 as a backup to my old 'bud. I'm looking for quality and pricepoint. I don't really need a 3500.00 backup guitar any longer. Looking for something that sounds good, is mechanically reliable, and is priced reasonably (used of course would like to spend 1500-1600 max). I've considered a GFI expo, Stage One or the like. I'd preferably like to stay with a wood body. |

Hang on. You say SD, then mention Stage One.
At your price point, Fred makes two S-10 axes, don't know about SD10.
The Encore or Stage One both fit.
Used, probably anything but push-pull, Zum, Mullen, or anything starting with an F (Fessenden, Fulawka or Franklin) would probably fit yer budget.
[EDIT] From looking at the classifieds, most Mullens are outta reach too. But at your price point, most SD-10 axen are in reach. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

You could most certainly find a used Carter for that price and they are very reliable, sound good, and play nicely. |

I assume by wood body, you mean "not aluminum" and not "not mica-clad." The lacquer finish raises prices a bit. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Okay thanks. Sorry I did mean S-10 or SD-10 and wood cabinet, not aluminum - mica clad isn't a problem. |
