What do you guys think of these strings sizes for 6 string lap steel & Dobro.
String Sizes:.015, .018, .028w, .038w, .048w, .058w
E,C#,A,E,A,E ...open A
D,A,F#,D,A,D ...open D
D,B,G,D,B,G ...open(Dobro)
Tunings show from Top to Bottom.

C# - .017
A - .020
E - .030W
A - .042W

I have a set of Beard PB strings right on the desk here...
D .018
G .020
B .029w
D .036w
G .045w
B .056w
I'm not using them... I just have them. I play 8string, tuned E13... not applicable at all. Tuned .056 to .012, PB, E to E, btw.

That 1st tuning you listed is an A tuning, low bass.
An early Hawaiian tuning. |
